The scholar is a new base class with 1/2 BAB and d6 hit dice. He has a lot of skill ranks at each level, but few class skills. He is generally incompetent at martial combat. He has middling magical power—and a lush array of abilities focusing on knowledge and information-gathering, in addition to a set of powers granted him by the field in which he specializes.
